✨ Inspiring the Next Generation of Welders ✨
Yesterday, Mr. Denton, our welding teacher at Tift County High School, welcomed back one of his former students, Jose Garcia, to share his journey from the SRTC dual-enrollment welding program to a successful career in the industry.

Jose spoke about what first sparked his interest in welding, his experiences competing in SkillsUSA, and the importance of continuing your education. His key advice for success in the industry?

“The more hood time, the better you become.”

He reminded students that welding is a high-demand career with great earning potential—one that has taken him to many states, introduced him to incredible people, and brought him personal fulfillment.

Thank you, Jose, for motivating our students to stay focused, perfect their craft, and see the value of education—and thank you, Mr. Denton, for inspiring students then and now!
