Students in Mr. Owen's Honors Government class participated in deliberations about actual Supreme Court cases. These cases focused on issues that involved students/juveniles. They looked over the facts of the case and rendered their decision as if they were the Justices on the case. After hearing how they came to their opinion, Mr. Owen shared with them how the Supreme Court ruled and what precedents, if any, were set. #4theT

This morning, the front office at Tift County High School received a phone call to inform the school of a possible weapon in a student’s vehicle on campus. The administration was immediately notified. System security personnel and local law enforcement investigated and found a rifle in the vehicle. The issue was handled without incident and has been turned over to local law enforcement. We would like to commend the caller for alerting the administration to this situation to ensure the safety and security of students and staff. #4theT
