Mr. Jason Owen's students have been learning about the Legislative Process and got the chance to put that process to work. Students used bills they had written about any issues or causes they supported. The bills had to pass through both chambers and then a guest teacher/administrator filled the role of president. In 2nd Block Mrs. Cartright was President and in 3rd Block, Dr. Baker was President. Out of the nearly 70 bills, only 10 made it to the president and of those only 4 were signed into "law," with one being ruled unconstitutional by The SCOTUS. #4theT

TK Coleman of the Foundation for Economic Education spoke with students in 1st and 2nd block Business Communications class on the topic of, "Are We Good Enough for Leadership?" Mr. Coleman shared several stories to emphasize that your character and confidence could determine your ability to be a leader. The quality of being able to persuade others of your ideas and solutions is an important aspect of leadership. He also indicated that leadership is not a title; you don't have to be a person of power to be a leader. Students enjoyed their time and interaction with Mr. Coleman. #4theT #CTAEDelivers
