Omega Elementary School wants all of our students to...

Second grade teachers Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Veazey were inspired by the district theme this year!

Mrs. Michael wants all the students to...

1st grade gifted students have been learning all about the water cycle (evaporation, condensation, precipitation), how clouds are formed, and the 4 main types of clouds (cumulus, cirrus, stratus, and cumulonimbus). We did an experiment with evaporation. We painted our hands with water and put a handprint on 2 sheets of paper. One paper was put in a Zip-lock bag and the other one was left out. We noticed that our handprint evaporated on the one left out. We also painted with water on the sidewalk, and WOW our pictures disappeared fast (due to the process of evaporation).
Another day, we went outside and were cloud hunters. Then, on another day, we made clouds in cups and made clouds with shaving cream. We are becoming weather experts and having fun while learning!

Reminder...Blue Devil Spirit Days!

Mrs. Beth's prekindergarten students each earned a gold coin to use in the book vending machine. Way to go students!
