We are aware that schools south of us have made a decision to close tomorrow and Friday. We have received no information at this time leading us to make that decision for Tift County Schools. We will continue to monitor the storm and work with our local EMA to make decisions. At this time we will be having school on Thursday and Friday. #4theT

Ms. Dunn’s fourth grade class has been learning about the American Revolution. While on the Road to Revolution, students learned about the unfair taxes and acts, such as the Quartering Act and the Stamp Act, that King George III enforced upon the colonists. Throughout the week, students experienced what it was like to be a colonist under the ruling of King George III by having to pay taxes for paper materials needed and having to take care of the British soldiers. At the end of the week, students wrote letters to King George III to express how unfair it was to not have representation in the British Parliament.
